VIENNESE BOY SINGERS

CONCERT ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

Booking is proceeding steadily at W. G Perry’s for the concert to be given next Friday night in the Opera House by the famous Vienna Mozart Boys Choir. There is no class of citizen that would not enjoy the these remarkable young choristers. The charm of their voices is irresistible, and their programmes are highly attractive in all branches, sacred and secular. In all the countries they have visited since leaving Vienna last year, large audiences have enthusiastically acclaimed the young artists, re-demanding then solos and part songs, and then asking for more. The widest appeal, however, is made by the operettas of Mozart, Gluck, Strauss and others, in which the boys appear in varied roles. The chief “girl” is a bewitching young thing, up to all the alluring arts and devices of “his” kind. “She” is a beautiful creature, fair to behold, a graceful and expressive singer, delighting all by the beauty of her voice and musical style. The acting has all the art of experience; the singing never fails to charm, and the humorous scenes invariably captivate the audience. No one without attending the performance, could imagine such versatility and artistic insight in a company of boys aged from nine to fourteen.
