BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP D. COLLINS DEFEATED. SECOND ROUND RESULTS. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 23. Results in the second round of the amateur golf tourney were:—J. Bruen defeated L. Crowley, 4/2; C. Yates defeated D. Cameron, 2/1; Hector Thomson defeated A. McNairn, 2/1; W. M. Robb defeated David Collins, 3/2. KEEN MATCH. WELL CONTESTED IN EARLY STAGES. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 23. In the amateur golf tournament, second round, Collins played fine golf, but was one down at the turn. He lost the tenth hole, won the eleventh, lost the twelfth and won the thirteenth. The exchanges then ended and Robb won the fourteenth with a birdie four and the fifteenth when Collins was bunkered. Collins could only halve the sixteenth.
