BUS CRASHES THROUGH BRICK WALL ENDS UP IN ROOM OF HOUSE. ACCIDENT IN MELBOURNE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. MELBOURNE, May 23. Twenty-one persons were injured, two seriously, when a large tramway bus, travelling from Port Melbourne, crashed through the brick wall of a two-storied apartment • house at Carlton after a collision with a police patrol car tonight. The bus, which was carrying 40 passengers, ended up in one of the rooms of the house, a portion of the wall of which was demolished. The bus suffered “little damage. Senior Constable Murphy, the driver of the police car, received broken ribs and leg injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the bus was injured by flying bricks from the house. A woman passenger is believed to have serious internal injuries. The accident occurred at a busy intersection and in drizzling rain.
