PUBLIC NOTICES. WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. RETICULATION EXTENSION LOAN, 1939. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NJOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board, held on Thursday, the 20th April, 1939, the following Resolution, of which due notice had been given, was passed, viz.: — “In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, the Wairarapa Electric Power Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:— ■ For the purpose of providing additional moneys for the further reticulation of the Wairarapa Electric Power District, the Wairarapa Electric Power Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of Twenty-five Thousand Pounds at Three Pounds Ten Shillings per centum per annum for a period of t<venty-six years. The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate half-year-ly instalments extending over the term of the loan.” AND Notice is hereby given that the above Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board to be held on TUESDAY, the 30th day of May, 1939, at the Board’s Office. Memorial Square, Carterton, at 10 a.m. AND further notice is hereby given, in accordance with the requirements of Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, that no moneys shall be borrowed in accordance with the’ Resolution set out above if, before the 30th day of May, 1939, not less than five per centum of the total ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the ratepayers’ rolls of the several constituent districts within the Wairarapa Electric Power District by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Head Office of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board at Carterton, demand that a poll be taken on the proposal.
