RABBITSKIN MARKET
WEAKER TONE IN DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 23. Approximately 60 tons of rabbitskins were offered at today’s sale. Competition was irregular, and at times dragging, and the market showed weaker tone, due principally to the American limits, which were reduced considerably. Reports from the London market lately have not been encouraging, and the Sydney sales recently showed a decline of up to 2d a lb. Today’s prices, compared with late rates were cheaper by -2d to 3d a lb, with the exception of good winter descriptions, which were a shade better. Winter bucks sold to 66d, first winter does to 42? d, first early winter bucks to 62-jd, and second winter bucks to 56d. The official range of prices is as follow: —Small, 7Jd to Bid a lb; runners, lljd to 14Jd; light racks, 18d to 19,’d; prime racks, xsjd to 163 d; summer bucks, lljd to 12id; summer does, 13jd to 14-ld; dawny autumns, 17Jd to 19Ad.
First early autumns, 23d to 24id; first late autumns, 353 d to 37,?d; first incomings, 40jjd to 42,?d; second incomings, 311 d to 35d. I?irst early winter bucks, 56id to 621 d; first early winter does. 35d to 371,d; spotted winter bucks, 36d to 42d; spotted winter does, 27d to 291 d; secbhd winter bucks, 48d to 56d; second winter does, 32d to 35:}d; first winter bucks, 65d to 66d; first winter does, 38d to 42Jd; first milky, 14|d to 16i'd; milky, 113 d to 12gd.
