EARL POULETT’S ESTATE. Earl Poulett is to sell 3 200 acres of his estate, at Hilton St George, Somerset. It includes a village, two hamlets, and 17 farms. He intends to retain Hinton House, with its park of 1,300 acres, states the “Daily Mail.,” ( The house, said to have been built in the fifteenth century, has a suite oi state apartments prepared for Queen Anne. The remainder of the estate, which has a rent roll of £6,100, will be offered by auction during the summer. It includes almost all the village ol Hilton St George, with its thatched and stone houses, the hamlets of Dinnington and Allowenshay, and Priory Farm, which was once owned by a monastery.

Earl Poulett, who is 29. succeeded t< the title when his father was killed it action in 1918. He married Miss Oric Ross, the actress in 1935. He is a wellknown first-nighter of the London theatres and likes to wear a huge white carnation and a crimson-lined cloak on such occasions.
