LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
FIRST PLAY OF SEASON. Planned to play for the last two nights of this month in the Masterton Opera House is the first 1939 major production of the Masterton Little Theatre Society, “Housemaster,” .by lan Hay. The work of the Little Theatre Society last year in so capably producing “Lovers’ Leap” will be well remembered by all who saw it. This year’s first presentation it is hoped will be even better. In the story of “Housemaster” a family of girls under the control of their maiden aunt invade the monastic establishment of a boys’ public school, decidedly humourous situations resulting. The plot is admirably developed without waste of opportunity, and the humour of lan Hay carries the audience along to a most satisfactory conclusion. Under the capable direction of Mrs Peggy Mirams as producer a well balanced cast is moulded into a presentation which must give enjoyment to the most discriminating playgoer. Booking will open at Messrs Nimmo’s on May 25.
