A racing tipster returning from the races entered a cheap restaurant for a meal. On the wall above his table was the motto: “Necessity is the mother of invention.” Pointing to it the tipster said to the proprietor.“ That’s nonsense, old man. Don’t you know that Invention is by the Scientist out of Grey Matter?”
