MASTERTON CLUB. NUTTALL’S TEAM LEAD IN RINKS. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s rinks competition is now nearing completion and Nuttall’s team is still leading with six wins and one loss, and unless a surprising.reversal of form takes place in this .week’s games. Nuttall’s team should easily win the rinks section. The following is the result of last week’s games: —Pickering 20 beat Edwards 12, Davies 27 beat Joyce 18, Hendry 21 beat Leigh 18, Nuttall 19 beat Dixon 17, Leigh 15 beat Nuttall 11, Hendry 28 beat Finlayson 17, Davies 25 beat Fenton 17, Edwards 19 beat Dixon 18. The matches arranged for this week are as follows:—Tuesday, 7 p.m., No 1, Dixon v Hendry; No 2, Davies v Pickering; 8.30 p.m., No 1. Nuttall v Finlayson; No 2, Leigh v Joyce. Wednesday, 7 p.m., No 1. Dixon v Pickering; No 2, Fenton v Nuttall; 8.30 p.m., No 1, Davies v Hendry; No 2, Joyce v Edwards. Thursday, 7 p.m., No 1, Finlayson v Leigh; Ns 2 vacant; 8.30 p.m.. Fenton v Edwards; No 2 first challenge for Park Ferns, Mayes and Finlayson (s) v Onion and Pickering (s). Any player not desiring to play in the pairs competition must notify the secretary as the teams will be drawn on Thursday evening.
