Mrs J. Kennedy, of Masterton, is visiting her sister, Mrs Palmerson, at Te Atatu. Mrs Fowler, of Essex Street, Masterton, has returned home after a visit to Wellington. Miss R. Hamilton, Wellington, who has been the guest of Mrs Anton Anderson. Eketahuna, has returned, home. Mrs C. Percy, of Masterton, was a visitor to the monthly meeting of- the Opiki (Manawatu) Women’s Institute. Mrs Guy Holmes, Sussex Street, Masterton, has returned to Masterton after having spent a fortnight at Otaki Beach. 7 Mrs W. T. McClenaghan, of Mangamutu, has returned home after a holiday spent in Taranaki, Poverty Bay, North Auckland and Auckland. Mr and Miss Twentyman, of Hukanui, will leave by the Awatea for a prolonged holiday in Australia. While there they will' be the guests of the former’s son, Mr D, Twentyman, and Mrs Twentyman. ENGAGEMENTS. BEETHAM—BETTS. The engagement is announced of Jocelyn May, third daughter of Mr and Mrs John A. Betts, “Flaxmore,” Masterton, to Norman William Trevor, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Trevor Beetham, “Towcett,” Master ton. TURNBULL—GALYER. The engagement is announced of Edith, second daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Galyer, Hunterville, to Kenneth John, second son of Mr and Mrs D. W. Turnbull, Masterton.
