A night journey of about three miles, followed by a chase by small boys, will probably be the cause of a bantam rooster choosing a different resting-place in future. He had chosen for his perch for the night) the bumper bar on a car in a private garage. The owner of the car was making a trip to Winton and had travelled about two miles when he noticed that his lights were not shining as brightly as they might. He stopped to investigate and found the rooster perched on the bumper bar in ffront of one of the neadlights. The driver did not disturb his passenger, but continued to Winton, where several persongather round to look at the unusual spectacle. The bantam, however, apparently objected to the scrutiny of the onlookers and left his perch with noises of protest to seek the sanctuary of the roadside. He was evently captured for the owner by small boys and was a back-seat passenger on the homeward journey.
