SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. The South Featherston Amateurs Concert Party staged a highly successful concert in the South Featherston hall on Wednesday evening, there being a large and appreciative audience. The proceeds went towards the funds of the “Red” Queen (Miss Ngaire Tocker). The gathering went with a swing from beginning to end, with not one dull moment. The programme was exceedingly well arranged, with variety to suit all tastes. Judging by the laughter the audience fully appreciated the jokes and witticisms. Special mention should be made of the Thorn Twins who delighted the audience with their clever tap dancing and action songs. These youthful artists would be an asset- to any concert party and seem perfectly happy and at' ease on the stage. One depicts a particularly bright future for these lads, as they are an entertainment in themselves.-
The announcer, Mr Joe Saba, caused much amusement with his humourous remarks when introducing the “Show” to the public. In fact he led one to believe it was the greatest show on earth and certainly as fqr as South Featherston was concerned.

The second half of the programme took the form of a Nigger Minstrel Show and many were the laughs which were produced. A clever impersonation of Pat Hanna on “The Cricket Test Match” was rendered by Mr Joe Saba. The organiser, Mr P. R. Thorne, and Miss Marjorie Tocker (pianiste) deserve great praise for their efforts as the result was indeed very gratifying. At the conclusion of her duet Miss Ngaire Tocker, “The Queen,” was presented with a beautiful red posie by little Joy Gain. YOUNG FARMERS. INTERESTING DEBATE.
