NOKOMAI MINING COMPANY
A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.; DUNEDIN, May 18. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Nokomai Mining Company, the chairman of directors, Mr H. L. Gill, said the last year had been the most successful for many years.. The net profit had been £l7OO and, in addition, new equipment had been bought to the value of £l3OO. Gravel pumps had proved their capacity to work the claim efficiently. The gold won during the year showed an increase of 5000 z., the total value being £12,052. The company’s property, the chairman added, would last about 20 years. The secretary said that during the year the company had paid £1023 in gold export tax. Mr R. G. Hudson was elected to the directorate in place of Mr H. McDowell Smith, a retiring director, who was also nominated.
