MINERS “GO SLOW”

ON WEST GERMAN FIELDS PROTEST AGAINST INCREASE IN HOURS. DECREE POSTERS TORN DOWN. (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON. May 17.. The Mine Workers' Federation in Britain has received a report that German miners in the Ruhr, the Saai and Upper Silesia, have adopted “go slow" tactics against, the recent increase in hours of 45 minutes a shift to 53 hours a week. Posters bearing Field-Marshal Goering’s decree ordering the increased hours have been repeatedly torn down. The miners are prolonging their meal times and arriving late for work.
