INDUSTRIAL PLANT
MASTERTON ROTARIANS VISIT PETONE. A visit of inspection was paid to the Ford motor plant at Petone yesterday by the members of the Masterton Rotary Club, on their return from Wellington, where they were the guests of the Wellington Rotary Club at luncheon. This modern and efficient plant aroused much interest among the visitors, who were entertained at afternoon tea. A picture showing the rise of the Ford industry from its infancy proved an illuminating record of the tremendous gress made by the organisation. Mr W. G. Taylor, sales manager for New Zealand, in the unavoidable, absence of Mr G. H. Jackson, managingdirector, expressed thanks to the club for paying a visit to the plant. Mr H. H. Daniell, president of the Masterton Club, replied. Members were sb pleased with the trip that they contemplate an early return with a view to going through the factory of the British-Australian Lead Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Petone. It had been intended to visit this factory yesterday but time did not permit this to be done.
