Herr Bohle, of Bradford, announced that Germany would take further reprisals for the expulsion of Germans from Britain. He declared that Germans abroad were regarded as scapegoats for the hatred felt against the Reich. “Nevertheles,” he said, “we do not want an expulsion war, as Germans abroad are merely ambassadors of goodwill.”
