THEFT FROM SWIMMING CLUB. NEGLIGENT DRIVING CAUSING DEATH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, This Day. Walter William Gordon, for the theft of £99 9s 9d, the property of the Fordell Swimming Club, of which he was secretary was admitted by Mr Justice Ostler to two years' probation. He was ordered to pay £l3 forthwith and to make restitution at the rate of £4 a month, also to pay the costs of the prosecution, £3 Us 9d. Gordon Alfred Streat, of Dargaville. for negligent driving causing the death of two persons near Waverley, was placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay costs, £l5. His licence was cancelled for three years.
