ROAD FATALITY
VICTIM DIES OF INJURIES PEDESTRIAN RUN DOWN BY CAR NEAR CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Injuries received when he was struck by a car on the Main North Road on Thursday evening caused the death in hospital this morning of John William Campbell. Campbell, who suffered a compound fracture of the lower right and lower left legs and head injuries, was thought to have been walking on the bitumen in the direction of the city when a car, which was travelling in the same direction, struck him. He was thrown through the windscreen of the car.
