PALESTINE POLICY
STATEMENT PROMISED SHORTLY ACTIVITIES OF THE GRAND MUFTI. BRITAIN IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH FRANCE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 10. A statement on future policy in Palestine will be placed before Parliament as a “Command Paper” in the near future. The Colonial Secretary, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, in giving this information in the House of Commons today, added that Britain was in close touch with France regarding the activities of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, about which the British Government had made its views pefectly clear. JEWISH THREATS. ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE MODERATES. JERUSALEM, May 11. Jewish proclamations threatening moderates cooperating with Britain and violently opposing the creation of an Arab state are being distributed throughout Palestine.
