SHOOTING TRAGEDY
MAN FOUND DEAD ON FARM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 11. Mr Joseph Cross, chairman of the Peninsula County Council, was found dead in an outbuilding on his farm, Portobello, at 9 o’clock this morning, with a gunshot wound in the head. When the discovery was made by an employee it was too late to give any assistance, and the police were immediately informed.
