WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. The Management Committee of the Wairarapa Hockey Association met in Masterton last night, Mr G. Hayne presiding. The special committee appointed to revise the constitution submitted a report to the meeting. It was decided, however, that the new rules should not come into operation until next season. The special general meeting to which was to be held on May 24 has now been cancelled. A deputation consisting of Messrs Hayne, Stubbings and the secretary was appointed to meet Mr Robertson, M.P., with the object of getting support from the Government for the erection of . public conveniences near the hockey grounds at Lansdowne. The Borough Council will also be approached in the matter. A donation of 10s 6d was voted to the Referees’ Association. The junior competition was generally discussed and it was decided to run two divisions in the second round . Mr Worsfold has donated a trophy for the winners of the second division. Two junior teams who defaulted their games were reported, and the clubs concerned are to be advised of their obligations to the association by notifying the secretary. ' The motion passed at the annual meeting that three selectors be appointed this season was found to be contrary to the rules, and after a lengthy discussion, the committee reverted to the sole selector.
