At the wool sales, 8.351 bales were offered, including 4.264 New Zealand, and 7,409 were sold. A fairly good selection met with further Home trade buying. Rates were generally maintained. New Zealand lots sold as follows: — Scoured combing. Aviemore, 15d to 21id; Clent Hills, 17Jd to 201 d; greasy halfbred, Wharanui, IOJd to lljd.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents dated May 9: — The auctions are proceeding at the level of the opening day. There is a strong demand for all descriptions of greasy crossbreds. Slipes and greasy crossbreds show a firmer tendency. Greasy merinos are steady.
