FINE'RESPONSE IN SOUTH AFRICA. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 8. Cape Town agency messages state that members of the South African Cabinet and mayors and councillors of the principal centres throughout the country —were the first to sign the Union registers for national voluntary service when the lists opened. From all parts of the Union the response was excellent, old and young members of all trades and professions and many ex-soldiers placing their names on the registers.
