SET DOWN FOR NEXT MONTH I KING DEFINES POLICY. REJECTION OF TERRITORIAL ' DEMANDS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) BUCHAREST, May 9. Elections will be held on June 1 and 2, the Senate consisting of 88 elected members and 88 King’s appointees and Deputies to the number of 258. King Carol, in a speech, said: “Rumania is peaceful and desires complete development in tranquillity, but is determined to guard her integrity and independence.” This is interpreted as a rejection of Bulgarian and Hungarian territorial claims.
M. Calinescu announced that Parliament will meet on June 7.
