• Mrs J. A. E. Kerslake, of Casel Street, Masterton, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Misses N. Moore and A. Stempa, of Masterton. are on a visit to New Plymouth.

Mrs Spackman, of Petbne, has been visiting her daughter, Mrs F. Graham, Dixon Street, Masterton. Mrs S. J. Gill, Cole Street, returned to Masterton today from a visit to Auckland.

Mrs W. Brown, of Morrinsville, is visiting Masterton as the guest of Mrs O. Sykes, Westmere. Mrs J. Henson, with her daughter, Miss Zelma Henson, of Welsford, Auckland, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs Capstick, Eketahuna. Mr and Mrs J. Downes, of Palmer Street, Wellington, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary yesterday. Mr and Mrs A. McLean and their daughter, Jean, “Lands’ End,” .have returned home after spending a holiday at Wellington and Levin. Mr and Mrs H. Green and their small daughter, accompanied by Miss Madge Green, Carterton, have returned home to Cashmere, Christchurch, after spending a long holiday in Carterton. Mrs George Taylor, of Masterton, who is visiting Wanganui, entertained friends to dinner- at the Rutland Hotel last week in honour, of her daughter, Miss Inez Taylor, who was celebrating her coming-of-age.
