The following information has been cabled to the London ofTiqe of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Wai? hi), Limited: —No. 3, level—K branch vein: In the next 22ft of driving west the vein split up and work is stopped, No. 4 level —I lode: A 164 ft in the Lovett south-east crosscut have driven to the east 6ft. The assay value is 27/9 per ton, and to the west Oft, the assay value of 32/3 per ton. The value in both cases is based on a stoping width of 4ft. Wellington Alluvials, Ltd., expected that dredging operations would be suspended for about a week as from. May 2 to enable new buckets to be installed.
The Blackwater'Mines, Ltd., returh for the month of April is: Crushed 3051 tons, yielding 1530 fine oz of gold from all sources, including a clean-up of the old mill, the value of which, takinggold at 148 s a fine oz. was £11,325. Working expenses were £6784, leaving a working profit of £4541. Capital expenditure was £602, and develop? ment expenditure £902. The Malaki dredge return for the week ended May 5 was 9oz for 134 hours’ work and 8300 cubic yards.
