YOUNG FARMERS
MANAWATU PARTY’S TOUR. VISIT TO MARLBOROUGH AND WEST COAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. Forty-nine member’s of Manawatu Young Farmers’ clubs arrived in Picton by the inter-island steamer Tamahine last night and spent today in a launch cruise of the Marlborough Sounds, leaving from Havelock this evening. They are to proceed to Nelson and the West Coast, visiting the glaciers - and returning to Blenheim on May 16, to spend two days inspecting farms and points of interest in this territory as the guests of the Marlborough Young Farmers' Club, before returning home. A week later a party from the Scargill and Omihi clubs, of North Canterbury, will arrive in the course of a tour, while a party of Wairarapa Young Farmers is expected on June 6.
