MEMORIAL PARK
LIGHTS TO EE INSTALLED. FOR FOOTBALL TRAINING. Memorial Park will be electrically flood-lighted shortly. Following the carnival and dance recently conducted by the Memorial Park Lighting Committee, a contract has been arranged with the Wairarapa Electric Power Board for the installation of 5 floodlighting system. Work will commence shortly and the new lighting system will be a real boon not only to Rugby players in training, but also as an added asset to this valuable park. THANKS EXPRESSED. ASSISTANCE TO COMMITTEE. The Memorial Park Lighting Committee wishes to thank everyone who assisted so kindly and effectively in raising the necessary funds for the purpose of floodlighting the Memorial Park. It is impossible to list the hundreds of people who helped this worthy object, either by way of donations or practical assistance to the carnival, dance and other efforts made, but the committee would like all to know how much their kindly and generous assistance was appreciated.
