Price of Eggs.

Though the retail price of eggs in Wellington remains unchanged, it is expected that there will be a drop of about 2d a dozen in all grades within the next few days. The wholesale price of eggs had fallen Id a dozen in all grades, except B grade, where the decrease was 3d a dozen. The retail price at present is 3s 8d for specials, 3s 6d for A grade, and 3s 2d for B grade. There is an over-supply of B grade eggs, and this is expected to bring the price of the other grades down. Pullets are growing, and many of them are now laying B grade eggs. The old-1 er hens, which have been moulting, are] expected to begin laying within the: next week or two. and fur liter casings in the price of eggs are expected.
