ESPIONAGE IN FRANCE
ITALIAN SENTENCED TO DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LYONS, May 6. An Italian, Pierre Castelli, aged 39, was sentenced to death for espionage. Two French associates were sentenced to life and five years’ imprisonment respectively. Castelli is the first foreigner to be sentenced to death under the new espionage law.
