PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that X after the expiry of one month from the date of this publication, the following Petition will be presented to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand: — IN THE MATTER of “The Electric Power Boards’ Act, 1925,” and its Amendments. To His Excellency the GovernorGeneral of the Dominion of New Zealand. . The Petition of us the undersigned praying that the areas hereinafter set forth (being part of the Outer Area of the Wairarapa Electric Power District) be added tb’ the Wairarapa Electric Power District humbly sheweth: 1. That your petitioners are the ratepayers in respect of the lands the descriptions of which are set forth opposite the respective signatures of your petitioners in the schedules hereto. 2. That the lands referred to in Paragraph 1 are situated within the boundaries of the Area described in Paragraph 4 hereof, which Area it is proposed to include m the Wairarapa Electric Power District by extending the boundaries of such District. 3. That the Area now proposed to be added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District is situated within the Outer Area of such District. 4. That the Area proposed to be added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District comprises (a) part of the County of Masterton, and (b) part of the County of Castlepoint, and containing all that area of land situated in the Wellington Land District and bounded as follows:—Commencing at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District, being the south-east corner of Section 823, Block XV., Puketoi Survey District ,and bounded generally ■' on the north-west by the Eketahuna County to the south-east corner of Section 22, Block XII., Puketoi Survey District; thence on the north, south-west and north-east generally by the Akitio County to the south-west boundary of Section 477, Block XIII., Aohanga Survey District; thence generally on the north-east and south-east by the North Riding of the Castlepoint County to its intersection with the north-west boundary of block of land defined on D.P. 3186 at the Tinui River in Section 702 of Block 1., Castlepoint Survey District; thence on the south-east and north generally by the said block of land defined on D.P. 3186 to its south-east corner in Section 706, Block V., Castlepoint Survey Dis- ■ trict; thence on the east and north generally by the block of land defined on D.P. 5330 to . the west boundary of Section 6, Mataikona Settlement, Block V., Castlepoint Survey District; thence, on the south-east generally by said Section . 6, Mataikona , Settlement; thence on the south-west and south-east by Subdivision 10B6D, Whakataki Native Reserve to the Whaupo Stream; thence on the north.generally by the said Whaupo Stream to the south-west boundary of Section 373, Block VII., Castlepoint Survey District; thence on the north-east by the said Section 373 to the east boundary of Part Lot 1, Deeds Plan 446; thence on the south-east generally by the east boundary of said part Lot 1, Deeds Plan 446, to the north-west boundary of Lot 2, Deeds Plan 446; thence on the south-east generally by said Lot 2, Deeds Plan .446, and Lot 2, Deposited Plan 4845, to the northern boundary of Section 350, Block XVI., Mangapakeha Survey District; thence on the north and east and north generally by the East Riding of Castlepoint County to the sea coast; thence on the east generally by the sea coast to the centre of the Whareama River; thence on the south generally by the Uruti Riding of the Masterton County to the production of the north-west boundary of Section 63, Block XII., Rewa Sur-' vey District; thence to the northwest corner of tlie said Section 63; thence on the south generally by the said Section 63 and Sections 56, 59, 680 and 679, Block XL, Rewa Survey District, to the eastern boundary of State Forest Reserve in Block VI., Rewa Survey District; thence on the west, south and’ south-east generally by the said .State Forest Reserve to the boundary of the Wainui-oru Riding of the Masterton County at the south-east corner of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 2218; thence on the south generally by the said Wainui-oru Riding to where it meets the eastern boundary of the Wairarapa Electric Power District at the south-west corner of Section 552. In the portion of the Masterton County proposed to be added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District the total number of ratepayers is 52, the estimated population is 220, and the Government Valuation of the rateable property in such portion of the Masterton County is:— Improved Value £446,614 Unimproved Value .. £278.968 6. In the portion of the Castlepoint County proposed to be added to the Wairarapa Electric Power District the total number of ratepayers is 73, the estimated population is 475, and the Government Valuation of the rateable property in such portion of the Castlepoint County is:— Improved Value .... £851.043 Unimproved Value .. £493.248 7.
