Newspapers here are directing their attention to Sir Earle Page's relations with the Federal Country Party, which appear strained as the result of his attitude toward the Prime Minister, Mr Menzies.
Tonight's "Sun” declares that the disintegration of the Country Party has spread more rapidly than was expected. Sir Earle Page’s following has dwindled from 15 to 10, some of whom are dissatisfied with the present situation and express the opinion that the only way out is a new leader. It is reported thatthe claims'of Mr McEwen and Mr Cameron are at present were discussed.
