Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 77.8 degrees on Ist (85.8); absolute shade minimum, 29.3 degrees on sth (36.2). Thus the range was 48.5 (49.6). Mean temperature for the month, 55.05 (60.7). Absolute grass minimum. 20.2 on 7th (28.6); average grass minimum, 35.98 (50.7); average at one foot underground. 56.1 (61.76). Severest frost, 10.2 on night of 7th (1.8). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 9 (1); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F.. 3 (0); of gale, ,1 (1).
