Ottwa. —Production of leather footwear in Canada in the month of January amounted to 1,520,498 pairs which established a new high output for that month. Production in January, 1937, totalled 1,461,629 pairs. Exports of leather footwear in January totalled 1,461,629 pairs. Exports of leather footwear in January totalled 23,666 pairs of which New Zealand took 8471 pairs, Jamaica 6513 pairs, and the United Kingdom 5735 pairs.
