. MASTERTON CLUB. PROGRAMME OF EVENTS. The Masterton Harrier Club will hold the Novice Championship and a friendly run from -the Park Oval on Saturday next, at 2.30 p.m. Some fine performances are expecter from the promising new members. The programme for the half-season extending to July 29 is as follows: — May 6, Novice championship; May 13, 27th Anniversary Day; May 20, 5 miles sealed handicap; May 27, friendly run; June 3, v Hutt Valley (Sanders Cup),; June 10, Dannevirke Rally (friendly run); June 17, Friendly run; June 24, v Wanganui, at Wanganui; July 1, Open Handicap (Willis Cup), July 8. Friendly run, July 15 v Hastings (at Masterton); July 22, Friendly run; July 29, v Wanganui (at Masterton).

KIATERE CLUB. SIX WEEKS’ PROGRAMME. The Kiatere Club will hold a training run for both senior and junior members from the Showgrounds on Saturday next at 2.30 p.m. Distances will be arranged on the ground by the captain and vice-captain. The following is the programme for the next six weeks:— May 6: Training run for both grades. May 13: Visit to Masterton Harrier Club Anniversary. May 20: Senior Gj mile sealed handicap. juniors 3i mile sealed handicap. May 27: Senior 5 mile open handicap. juniors 2’i mile open handicap. june 3: Novices' race. June 10: Dannevirke rally.
