BELGIUM TAKING SEVERE MEASURES AGAINST PROPAGANDISTS AND DEMONSTRATORS. GERMAN FRONT LEADERS TO BE EXPELLED. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, May 3. The Brussels correspondent of “The Times” says that, as a result of the Nazi demonstration at Winterslag, in the Province of Liege, last week, severe measures are being taken against politocal demonstrations in Belgium. It is intended to expel the German Front leaders involved in the Winterslag incident. A message published on April 30 stated that when the commander of the local gendarmerie demanded identity cards from 300 Germans who were holding a May Day meeting at Winterslag a man retorted: “I am a German Consul. You won’t have the right to demand identity cards much longer." The commander reported the incident to the authorities. Belgians made a hostile demonstration after the meeting. The retorter departed in a motor-car being a number of members of the German Embassy. The car went to Brussels. JOURNALIST EXPELLED. (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) BRUSSELS, May 3. The German journalist Ehlert is being expelled consequence of the Winterslag incident of April 30.
