WAR OFFICE WARNING
NO OFFICERS TO RETIRE MEANTIME., UNLESS FOR URGENT REASONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 2. The War Office has sent a letter to all commands stating that it is not deemed expedient at present that officers should be allowed to retire unless for urgent reasons. An official said this was "a reasonable precaution.”
