SEARCH FOR ARMS

MADE BY BRITISH TROOPS IN PALESTINE. GERMANS INVENT STORIES OF ATROCITIES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 1. In Palestine for the last few days the West Yorkshire Regiment has been conducting a careful search of Beit Rima village for arms and ammunition belonging to terrorists. The total arms found amounted to 37 rifles, one shotgun and 1100 rounds of rifle ammunition. A thorough search took place quietly and without incident. A German radio in Arabic, however, invented stories of appalling atrocities by the troops.
