RIFLE SHOOTING

ALFREDTON CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES DECIDED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final shoot for the Alfredton Rifle Club championship resulted in close scoring by the three leaders, the result being in doubt till the last shots were fired at the final range. C. Morrison is club champion for the season with a score of 564, H. C. Percy being runner-up with 563, and J. H. Macdonald next with 561. The B grade championship was won by R. Algie, 537, with A. Leach, 518, next. In the handicap aggregate J. H. Macdonald was the winner in the A grade and A. Algie in the B grade. The long-range aggregate resulted in a win for C. Morrison in the A grade and R. Algie in the B grade. During the day several excellent range scores were returned, a possible by J. H. Macdonald at 500 yards and a good 49 by R. Algie at 600 yards being the best. J. H. Macdonald had the best .score off the gun for the day’s shooting with 288. The day’s trophy spoon was won by J. Leach. Scores:—
