BIDEFORD GOLF CLUB

OPENING OF SEASON. RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance of members and friends at the opening of the season by the Bideford Golf Club on Sunday. The president, Mr C. Percy, in opening the links for the season, commented on the improvements to the club house, and the work done by the local members on the course. He hoped that this work would be repaid by an increased membership, and a successful season for ail members. The mixed foursomes (over nine holes), in the afternoon resulted as follows: —Mrs J. Nicholls and J. Thornton, 31 nett, Mrs J. Donald and J. Donald 32, Miss N. Carrick and G. Falloon. 33, Miss M. Falloon and T. Horton. 34. A fourball best ball competition played in the morning resulted in the following cards being handed in:—G. Falloon and T. W. Horton, 7 up, J. Bell and D. Falloon, 6 up.
