THE CORRIDOR PROBLEM GOOD RELATIONS DESIRED. UNACCEPTABLE PROPOSALS MADE BY GERMANY. LONDON, April 29. A message from Warsaw states that the official reaction to the denunciation of the pact between Poland and Germany was expressed by the Government spokesman. “Poland, as always,” he said, “favours good-neighbour relations. The German attitude to Danzig has npt been sufficiently important to disturb these relations. Poland has always treated Germany concerning communication with the Corridor favourably. Though Germany has often failed to fulfil her obligations, these communications can be discussed, but not on a basis of extraterritoriality, because motor roads are not necessary for Germany and are only a pretext to disorganise neighbours. “Germany recently used the policy o r pressure for the purpose of a fait accompli to the east. This cannot have applied to Poland, because we know the answer. Poland must be her own judge of Poland's interests.
“It is for Poland to decide whether the rapprochement between Poland and Britain is compatible with the agreement between Poland and Germany. Germany has made an exchange of views impossible since April G.”
