The Norwegian-American liner Oslo Fjord, bringing the Crown Prince Olav and , Princess Martha to New York, for an American goodwill tour, rammed and sank a pilot boat in a fog in the outer harbour. The pilot boat’s crew of 26 abandoned sttip and were rescued by the Oslo Fjord’s lifeboats. The Oslo Fjord was not damaged.
