RABBIT INSPECTOR

APPOINTMENT FOR TINUI DISTRICT. (“Times-Age” Special.) Advice that the Government had decided to appoint a third noxious weed and rabbit inspector in the Wairarapa district was received yesterday by a deputation of Wairarapa farmers which visited Wellington with a view to making representations to the Minister on the matter. It was the intention of the deputation to meet the Minister of Agriculture. the Hon W. Lee Martin, regarding the appointment, but on arrival in Wellington. Mr J. Robertson, Member for Masterton, handed the deputation a telegram from Mr Martin stating that an inspector would be appointed for the Tinui district in place of the one recently transfered. Members expressed their appreciation of the Department's action.
