EFFECT OF NEW LAW. ULTIMATE RESERVE OF SIX MILLIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, April 26. The Tokio correspondent of “The Times" says the amended conscription law, when it is fully operative, will give Japan a standing army of 800,000 men, who will undergo two years’ service, the rate of 400,000 yearly providing eventually for a reserve of six million trained men.
