GUARANTEE TO EGYPT
GIVEN BY GREAT BRITAIN. ALL PRECAUTIONS BEING TAKEN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. CAIRO, April 25. The Premier, Mahmud Pasha, announced today in Parliament that Britain had given an assurance that in the event of an emergency the Egyptian land, sea and air forces would receive sufficient help to enable them to defend their country adequately. These assurances were already being implemented. While Egypt hoped for peace she was taking all precautions and would not be taken unawares, added the Premier.
