MASTERTON GUN CLUB

SEASON TO OPEN ON SATURDAY. The Masterton Gun Club will open the .1939 season on Saturday. This will be somewhat in the nature of an (“eye-opener” for a number of shooters, as on the following weekend all roads will be leading to the Lake. Trap shooting is coming into its own again in the Wairarapa and there are now four strong clubs in the district— Masterton, Carterton, South Wairarapa and Martinborough—with the prospect of {mother being formed in Pahiatua. The Masterton Club has a busy season ahead of it, as besides the usual club shoots and championships, they will hold the North Island championships this year. All those interested in this sport are invited to attend the opening shoot.
