GOVERNOR OF BENGAL

APPOINTMENT OF SIR JOHN WOODHEAD. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.37 a.m.) RUGBY, April 21. The appointment is announced of Sir John Woodhead as Governor of Bengal, as from June 11, in consequence of the granting of leave to Sir Robert Reid, Acting-Governor. It is intended that Sir John Woodhead should hold office until the autumn, when the vacancy created by the death of Lord Bradbourne will be permanently filled.
