WEDDING
COCKBURN—DEVONPORT. At the wedding of Miss Anna Jane Devcnport, to Mr Thomas Keen Cockburn, Wellington, recently, the bride chose a black hat swathed with net to wear with a floral georgette frock. The frock was over a slip of green satin, and rose pink flowers in her bouquet made a pretty note of colour. The bride is the eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs G. H. Devonport, Masterton. The Rev J. Russell Grave performed the ceremony in the Brooklyn Baptist Church, Wellington. Mrs Rands was at the organ. The bride was given away by her cousin, Mr W. Rowell.
The bride's niece, Miss Betty Devonport, was bridesmaid, wearing biscuit lace over 'rose pink satm with matching pink flowers in her hair and making her bouquet. Mr Basil Woodham, Wellington, was best man. A reception was afterward held at the residence of Mrs Innes, Buller Street, Wellington.
