Mrs Drummond, Greytown, is visiting Paraparaumu Beach. Mr and Mrs A. T. P. Hubbard, Upper Plain, are staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Dr. and Mrs Archer Hosking, Church Street. Masterton, are staying at Raumati Beach. Mrs W. Crawford and family left Featherston today for their new home in Hastings. Mr and Mrs H. McLaren, Paraparaumu Beach, were visitors to Masterton during the week. Mrs A. R. Bloxam, Wairoa, is the guest of Mrs H. R. Bloxam, Featherston, for the weekend. Mrs L. Denton, Havelock North, is visiting her father, Mr C. E. Daniell Albert Street, Masterton. Miss Joyce Eustege, of Lower Hutt, who has been visiting Mrs Anton Anderson, Eketahuna, has returned home. Mr and Mrs D. McGill, of Colombo Road, Masterton, have returned from an enjoyable motor car trip to north of Auckland districts. Miss Faith Baldwin, well-known American authoress, vzho is writing a series of travel articles, one of which will be devoted to New Zealand, is due at Auckland on May 12. ENGAGEMENT FISHER—HANCOX. Mr and Mrs G. G. Hancox, College House, Masterton, announce the engagement of their eldest daughter, Miriel Abernethy, to Anthony Hornbrook, only son of Mr and Mrs A. H. Fisher, Beresford Street, Palmerston North.
