The Fuehrer later, sitting in the front seat of an open car, journeyed four miles from the Chancellery to the limit of the new axis motor road, where there was a brief ceremony. Cheering crowds lined the route. Britain and France were not represented among the official delegations from the many countries,, but Lord Brocket and Major-General Fuller were the private guests of the Fuehrer.
